How to Connect to CMP VPN

  • Go to Windows Search type in VPN Settings and click

  • Delete the old CMP VPN (if present)

  • Select ADD a VPN Connection

  • VPN Provider:                   Windows (built-in)

  • Connection Name:          CMP

  • Server Name:                    72.48.241.235

  • Type of Sign-In info:        L2TP/IPsec with pre-shared key

  • Pre-Shared Key:               Request from Ryan or Joseph

  • Type of Sign-In info:        Username and password

  • Username                           Fill in your email address

  • Password                            Fill in your password

  • Check Remember my sign-in info

  • Go to Windows Search, type in control panel and click

  • Click on network and sharing center

  • Click on Change adapter settings

  • Right click on CMP, click properties

  • Go to security tab and select allow these protocols

  • Verify Microsoft CHAP Version 2 (MS-CHAP v2) is selected

  • Follow instructions to right to set up the VPN connection

​

  • At bottom right, click on Internet Access (to let of clock)

  • Click on CMP

  • Click Connect

  • Wait until it says connected

​

  • Note that sometimes it may get hung when negotiating the connection, if this happens just click disconnect and or try again.
